I qualified as an accountant in 2003 and became Yorkshire’s youngest female partner in 2007 before forming my other practice, Change Accountants, in 2014.

I am a keen networker and run the free, York networking event, First Thursday.

Outside of tax and accountancy, I love live music, comedy and theatre.

I enjoy working with clients to develop a plan and set goals. I’ve been involved with several successful R&D claims over the years too which have been very rewarding. Outside of work I can usually be found operating Dad’s taxi service.

I’m involved in all aspects of practice work, accounts preparation, tax work, payroll and VAT.  I love getting to know our clients. Although my young family dominates my time I have a passion for craft and I am always on the look out for new ideas.

Emma joined Sunley's in 2024 and is our Office Manager. She is the first point of contact for clients and if she can't answer your query - she will point you in the right direction.
